KIST employs staff in two divisions: an educational division, which includes all staff involved in the instruction of students (i.e. teachers, instructional support staff, counselors, library staff) and an operational division, which includes staff employed to work in areas such as accounts, admissions, human resources, IT support, facility maintenance, health care, bus operations and general administrative support.
Within the educational division, the main recruiting period for teaching positions commences in mid-November for the following school year. Vacancies for any instructional support positions that may be available in the following school year are listed in early April.
Positions marked with an [L] are local hire positions. Applications for these positions are only accepted from persons currently living in Japan or those who have already made firm arrangements to move to Japan.
For each vacancy, applications are screened and interviews are conducted with selected applicants on an ongoing basis until a suitable candidate is found. There are no application deadlines for any vacancies listed.
