Important message regarding the Future Horizons Scholarship Program
Due to safety concerns associated with the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, and the uncertainties regarding entry to Japan by persons from overseas, applications from students living outside Japan will not be accepted until further notice. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
Program overview
The Future Horizons Scholarship Program opens doors for students in Grades 10 to 12 by providing financial support to those who have demonstrated exceptional academic aptitude and the potential to make extraordinary contributions as future leaders of our global society, but who would not normally have the opportunity to receive a quality international education for various social and/or financial reasons. Through Future Horizons, we aim to support dedicated students with realizing their dreams to make the world a better place for all.
Future Horizons scholarships are awarded based on criteria, including demonstrated financial need, and support successful candidates with up to 100% tuition coverage and boarding/housing arrangements, if needed.
It is expected that students in the program exemplify KIST’s mission and values while sustaining excellent academic performance (reviewed annually in January to determine continuance).
Candidates entering Grades 10 or 11 may apply for the program; however, preference is given to students able to enter KIST from Grade 10.
Note: As Future Horizons is aimed at students who would not normally be able to gain access to an international education due to financial constraints, students who are already enrolled at KIST or who have already received an offer of enrollment through the regular application process are not eligible to apply.
