Before care and after care services are available on weekdays for students from K1 through Grade 3 whose parents have work or other commitments and need their children to be at school earlier or later than the regular school day. The schedule is as follows:

During before care and after care, students are under the general supervision of school staff. Planned instructional activities are not conducted. Students may choose to engage in quiet activities such as reading or looking at picture books, drawing, working on homework or playing board games.

Places in before care and after care are limited and are allocated according to a pre-determined priority system. If no places are available at the time of application, your child will be added to the waiting list.

Fees charged for before care and after care are shown below. Applications are accepted on an annual basis. For applications to join before care or after care midway during the semester, invoices are issued from the beginning of the month of the starting date.

Requests for irregular or emergency after care may be accepted for students who are not registered for the regular service, only if spaces are available. In such cases, a flat rate of 2,500 yen applies, regardless of the length of time.

School buses are not available for students attending after care.

Before care and after care services are not available on certain days during the year. Dates not available are indicated on the school calendar.
