Collaboration is at the heart of the PYP, and of Elementary education at KIST! Working together gets children learning in special ways that individual work doesn’t allow for. Not only does group or pair work allow children to work together to grasp the topic or concept being covered; they also learn vital social and communication skills along the way! While collaboration between younger students can be difficult through Distance Learning, teachers, students, and their families have been working together to develop new methods that work for everyone. Based on community feedback, we will be introducing a new live component to our Elementary Distance Learning plan starting this week, which will hopefully increase opportunities for socializing and collaborating!
